Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Class 10 students will attend I PU classes without getting their results. CBSE Class 10 exams ended this week, and I PU classes will begin across the state in the first week of June. The class 10 results will be declared after June 15.

We have made provisional admission & asked students to attend classes. Their admission will be confirmed only if they clear the exam. The interested students attending classes will help them, and avoid repetition of classes,” said Fr Clifford Sequeira, principal of St. Aloysius PU College. He said that they will start the first-year classes from June 13 instead of the first week of June to avoid any kind of crowd on the campus, and this will help in completing the admission process.

A similar procedure is followed in CBSE PU institutes also. Sister Melissa, the Principal of Mount Carmel Central School, said that the new academic year for CBSE Class 11 begins from the first week of June. However, the result of the CBSE Class 10 examination is yet to come and may be declared only after June 15. We have taken candidates under provisional admission, on the basis of their latest school exam performance.

C D Jayanna, DDPU, Dakshina Kannada, said that PU colleges are allowed to conduct classes for students who have not yet received their results. “The PU college principal has the authority to decide about it,” he said.

CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) schools reported that it is high time each state has a separate CBSE exam timetable instead of one for the entire country. An exam timetable policy is causing inconvenience to the CBSE students. Even CBSE students of class 12 will hardly get a few days to prepare for the Common Eligibility Test conducted by the state government,” criticized a CBSE school head.
